It is Monday, September 9th, and we just telephoned with Frau Kessel.  I was anxious all weekend regarding Edwina's condition, but decided to wait until today to call her.  That would allow enough time for two of the proposed injections for the worm treatment and a couple of days to see if her weight is going up.

Juergen spoke with Frau Kessel and she told him that Edwina is already up to 374 grams!  She is tolerating the injections fine and she is eagerly eating the hamburger/egg/oatmeal mixture.  That means she is up 68 grams in two and one half days!  That was such good news!  She must have two more injections, then an interval of a 3 or 4 days, one more shot, and then she should be able to come home "worm free"!!!  Yippee!

So...that is the latest news...check back in a couple of days and we will update you all on her continued progress.  When she comes home, we will need to add new pictures to show the "more-matured" Edwina.  I am excited!
