This is a picture of one side of the courtyard between our house and the garden building. On the left is the entrance to the garden building. You are looking at the wall of the garage which is ivy covered. In the planting area are hydrangeas and ivy. When we close the door to the garden building and to the house, then Edwina has a safe exploring area to cure "the box" boredom. |
|
Today we put Edwina here to look around. As you can see, she found spider webs quickly! She has gained about 84 grams since we rescued her.

|
As she grows, she is getting faster on her little feet! When I put her down now, her feet are going before they hit the ground...varooommmm! |
|
I was able to catch her on one of her trips, laying in the ivy.....cute or what?

| Juergen was able to
take some pictures of her her in my hands. It gives a better idea of how big she
is. She doesn't like her picture taken and kept moving her head
from side to side. Following are some closeups of her from
different angles.

| It started to rain, so we put her back
in her box inside the garden building. Here is a picture of the super box
and "sleeping room" that Juergen made for her...
You can see that it is out of an old finished piece of furniture that Juergen tore apart. We line it with newspaper and this sleeping room is a separate piece that we can lift in and out to clean. Each night we crumple paper towels or newspapers and stuff them inside the sleeping room for her to nuzzle in. Velcro strips are on the top edge and fly screen attaches on the top to keep the flys out of her food and area. |

As you can see....Edwina had a big day. We will tiptoe out and let her sleep ....shhhh....baby is sleeping.....shhhhh.... |
Visit us regularly for updates on Edwina's progress and more pictures!
